POS Adoption:

EVOPS are now pleased to offer an alternative for transferring responsibility of Public Open Space. If you are left with an area of POS which has to be maintained, EVOPS can help.

The POS adoption service can be very useful for developers on house only developments. Paying a service charge via a management company can be a deterrent to potential purchasers of a house. Rather than leaving the purchasers with an annual charge to maintain common areas, we can adopt and maintain the land, relieving the purchasers and the house builder of the burden.

This service can also be used if an area of land does not fall under the responsibility of a management company, or it is an alternative to transferring land to local authorities. We will look at all situations.

We will provide an adoption service to most types of land. This service has previously been provided for land which ranges from a road side grass verge to a public toilet.

If we have not listed a land type which you would like to be adopted, we will look at all types of land or structures. The amount required for EVOPS to adopt and maintain land in perpetuity is calculated on the cost of maintenance per annum. The cost we require to adopt land is very competitive, we are able to offer such competitive rates because we undertake the maintenance in house.
